CREATIVE JURY HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED

VII International marketing and advertising Festival White Square will be held in Minsk in April 23-25. The competition program includes 13 contests which will be evaluated by five main jury categories: creative jury, design jury, marketing jury, interactive jury, social advertising jury.    

At the moment complete Creative Jury category has been announced.    

 

Marco Venturelli

Global Creative Director at Les Gaulois, FRANCE

Proud and tired father of two little daughters, started his advertising career in 2001, worked at famous Italian agencies Publicis Milan, DLV BBDO, EURO RSCG Milan till in 2009 moved to Paris where he is currently holding the position of  Global Creative Director at Les Gauloise Paris -  international agency of Havas Worldwide Group. Has collected numerous national and international awards including 14 Cannes Lions, Club des DA, ADCI, D&AD, Eurobest, Epica, Clio, New York Festivals, ADCE, LIAA among others. Has been a jury member at Cannes Lions, ADCI, Club des DA. Loves living in Paris and speaks decent French, however, his 4 year old daughter is already correcting his heavy Italian accent. 

 

Volkan Karakasoglu

Executive Creative Director at TBWA / Istanbul, TURKEY

 

Has joined TBWA\Istanbul in 2008 which has been recognized as the Agency of the Year in Turkey for the last four years. Worked for some biggest Turkish brands such as Akbank, Beko, Mc Donalds, Efes Pilsen, IKEA among many others. Throughout his career has won awards at many advertising festivals around the world including Cannes Lions, Eurobest, Golden Drum, New York Festivals, and in 2011 his work brought the first ever Cannes Lion to Turkey in Film category. Was in the jury of local and  international festivals including Cannes Lions. 

 

Andrey Gubaydullin

Executive Creative Director, Co-owner, Voskhod Creative Agency, RUSSIA

Most awarded creative in Russia, Academician of Russian Advertising Academy. 18 years ago founded the agency Voskhod (“sunrise’ in English) which today is in TOP-10 Russian most creative agencies and for four years in a row has been Russian Creative Agency of the Year. Under his creative leadership the agency has won over 300 awards at prestigious international festivals including Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, London International Awards, The One Show, Eurobest, Epica, The Globe Awards, Golden Drum, The CUP, ADCE, The Art Directors Club of Russia, The Effie Awards, Golden Hammer, Red Apple, White Square, KIAF. Was a jury at Clio Awards, New York Festivals, Eurobest, Golden Drum, Golden Hammer, White Square, Red Apple, KIAF. Believes that advertising can change the world.

 

Tom Loockx

Executive Creative Director at Havas Worldwide Brussels, BELGIUM

 

Has a successful long-term working experience in the leading agencies of Belgium such as Leo Burnett Brussels, LDV United, Boondoggle. Has won over 30 awards of international advertising festivals including eight Cannes Lions, One Show, Mixx awards and many others. In 2011 has been recognized as a Creative of the Year in Belgium. Has been a jury member at Cyber Cannes Lions and Creative Club of Belgium. Lecturer at KDG Sint-Lucas Antwerpen University. 

 

Michele Picci

Associate Creative Director at Publicis, ITALY

 

Started his career as a copywriter dictating a letter for Santa Claus to his mom asking for a reindeer. When found an ugly doll as a Christmas present he understood that he had to work harder on his communication skills. As a result got a diploma in copywriting from the Accademia di Comunicazione, worked at such famous agencies as Lowe,  JWT, Havas, Publicis. In 2013 his work for Heineken put him on the top of Italian creatives and brought his first Cannes Lions award. Member of ADC Italy, the holder of over 100 national and international awards including six Cannes Lions, high awards at  Clio, D&AD, Epica, Eurobest, Italian Young Lions, London International Awards, New York Festivals, One Show and many others. Being a great believer of the ‘Make it bigger’ philosophy last year was honored with a place in Guinness World Records for the project for Heineken having turned a life-size living room into the largest pinball machine ever. He’s still thirsty and working hard on his writing: he needs to please his inner child.   

 

Vlad Saveliev

Creative Group Head, Founder at NEF\TBWA, BELARUS

Was born in the last century. Times were hard, there were no toys so he had to play with words. Has walked a thorny path of evolution. On money saved from breakfast meals bought the diplomas of kindergarten, secondary school and university and rushed to find the entrance into history.  Successfully led creative teams of such agencies as Krin’/SMG , Smart Group Ogilvy, Efecta BBDO. Since 2012 is a founder of Belarusian agency of TBWA network. Has worked and is still fruitfully cooperating with number of brands including Jameson, Volkswagen, Nescafe, Coca-Cola, Baltika, Velcom. His creative team’s museum includes over 40 awards of international ad festivals such as White Square, Golden Hammer, Red Apple, KIAF, Idea!. Has claims to Cannes Lions Jury. According to the results of 2014 creative year NEF\TBWA was recognized as Creative agency #1 in Belarus. 

 

Nuno Jerónimo

Partner, Creative Director at O Escritório, PORTUGAL

Graduated in Journalism he found his real inspiration in advertising. For 8 years of his work at the agency, BBDO Portugal has won the Portuguese Creative Club Award “Agency of the Year” for six times. In 2011 he founded O Escritório which has been awarded at Cannes Lions in 2011 and 2012, in El Sol de Iberoamerica in 2012 and is working with such famous brands as Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Portugal Telecom, Galp Energia among others. In 2011 became Advertising Person of the Year by Meios & Publicidade magazine. His works have been recognized with about 150 creativity and effectiveness awards in national and international advertising festivals among which, plus to mentioned before, the awards of Eurobest, London International Awards, Meios & Publicidade Awards, El Ojo de Iberoamerica, numerous awards of  Portuguese Creatives Club. Currently lives in Lisbon with his wife and two truly amazing kids. 

 

Steve Burden

Creative Director at Most, artist at Bull Terrier, UNITED KINGDOM

 

Shares his interests and knowledge in literature, art, culture and sports with the outside world guiding copywriters, art directors and designers alike. Gifted, tenacious, single-minded, he is a chameleon who understands the balance between concepts & strategy, copy and design. With an award-winning career spanning 20 years has worked as International Creative Director for the likes of Fitch, Interbrand, Household and Taxi where he has won awards from the DBA, D&AD, Retail Week, WPPED CREAM and Design Week. An energetic and highly amusing raconteur, he will never gravitate to the centre and be average and this enthusiasm is what makes him stand out from the crowd.

 

Alexander Kapelevich

Creative Partner at SUP Creative Kitchen, BELARUS

Has worked at the leading agencies of Russia and Belarus. Created and successfully implemented the projects for world famous brands such as Bayer, Ferrero, Ford, Jameson, Kia, Land Rover, Martini, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, MTS, Nissan, Pepsi Co, Raiffeisen, Skittles, Twix, Volkswagen.Has won dozens of awards at different ad festivals around the world. Entered the jury of White Square Festival, Red  Apple, New York Festivals. In 2010 won the title of #1 Creative Agency in Belarus as a Creative Director for Efecta BBDO.

 

Vato  Kavtaradze

Under his leadership WINDFOR’S has become one of the leading agencies of the region and was awarded at various international festivals such as EuroBest, Golden Drum, Golden Hammer, KIAF, Popok and others. His working experience counts successful collaboration with almost all big clients operating on Georgian market including TBC Bank, Bank of Georgia, Geocell, Beeline, GPI Holding, Aldagi, Caucasus Online, Silknet, Axis, Lisi, Castel, Borjomi etc. Holds an Executive MBA degree from Berlin School of Creative Leadership at Steinbeis University.  

 

Creative Jury will judge the contests of TV advertising, print, radio advertising, innovations.    

The main criteria of entries evaluation are originality, novelty of idea, quality of its implementation. The Regulation on the Jury work at the Festival is available on the website and is based on principles of impartiality, objectivity and professionalism.

Full jury cast is currently at final stage of its forming and will be announced during February. Insignificant changes and adds in the jury are possible.

Traditionally White Square opens the festival season, starting a new creative year. It is where your entries have a chance to be recognized by professionals. Having a successful start at White Square, the winners and the finalists of the festival, as a rule, continue their winning procession and get the recognition far beyond Belarus at other international advertising festivals including Cannes Lions.

The winners are published on leading professional internet-resources over Russia, the CIS and Europe promoting the winning agencies in different countries. 

White Square is included into creativity ratings of Association of Advertising Organizations of Belarus, All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition, Association of Communication Agencies of Russia.

The mechanics of entry submission to the VII Festival is noticeably simplified. All the information about the rules of participation and entry submission for each of the contests is provided on www.adfest.by.

Traditionally there are several deadlines of entry submission. Cost varies  depending on the stage. The deadline of the main stage is on February 28.
